     The resident reported finding a bicycle in their yard which

    did not belong to them in the Indian Church Rd./ City Line are of the Town of West Seneca in mid August 2012. Upon

    review of home security system it was discovered that a W/M possibly teen had dumped a bicycle and stolen a bicycle belonging to another resident of the area .

at a West Seneca grocery store, two white males - one heavy set, beard, baseball cap, tan shorts and button down shirt  and the second - baseball cap, jeans and plaid button down shirt.  They appear to between the ages of early 30's to 40 YOA.  The stole over $400 in merchandise.

Chief Warren Keller

Chief Warren KellerWarren D. "Bud" Keller. A veteran of World War Two Chief Keller was appointed to the position of patrolman in the West Seneca Police Department in 1946.
Chief Keller Courier Express 1950'sIn the mid 50's, then Patrolman Bud Keller was asked by a reporter from the Buffalo Courier Express for his most exciting moment on the job.  He told the reporter that the moment that he remembers the most  was the time just prior to getting on the job when he was with a friend of his name Wayne Smith.  Wayne Smith was already a Patrolman on the department and was called at home and told to respond to a homicide on Dirkson Ave. in West Seneca.  He attained the rank of Chief of Police on February 1, 1957.  Chief Keller was the first Chief of Police to study in college by attending Millard Fillmore College and the FBI National Academy.  Chief Keller retired in 1979 and passed away on April 10, 1995.

On February 1st, 1957 Warren D. "Bud" Keller became the fourth Chief of the West Seneca Police Department.

Chief Keller, a graduate of West seneca High School, was appointed to the police force in 1946, following his discharge from the Navy.

Chief Keller Retirement

He served four years in the Pacific during World War II. "Bud" Keller entered the Navy as a Seaman 2nd Class, and was discharged as a petty officer 1st class.

Nearly 400 people including police officers from surrounding communities attended a testimonial dinner in Chief Keller's honor in March of 1957 at which time he was lauded as an efficient law enforcement officer.

A graduate of West Seneca High School, Chief Keller also attended training schools conducted by J. edgar Hoover of the FBI and studied at Milliard Fillmore College in police extension courses toward a degree in law enforcement.

Chief "Bud" Keller retired in March 1979. He passed away on April 10th 1995
