     The resident reported finding a bicycle in their yard which

    did not belong to them in the Indian Church Rd./ City Line are of the Town of West Seneca in mid August 2012. Upon

    review of home security system it was discovered that a W/M possibly teen had dumped a bicycle and stolen a bicycle belonging to another resident of the area .

Report #D49-11-117792  Date 10/05/11 @ approximately 4:30 pm;
at a West Seneca grocery store, two white males - one heavy set, beard, baseball cap, tan shorts and button down shirt  and the second - baseball cap, jeans and plaid button down shirt.  They appear to between the ages of early 30's to 40 YOA.  The stole over $400 in merchandise.

The Detective Bureau of the West Seneca Police Department is run under the direction of Detective Captain Robert Sporysz.   The Detective Bureau consists of 7 Detectives and 1 civilian employee.
The bureau follows up on all crimes reported to our department.  Within our bureau individual detectives have been trained to investigate specific types of crimes.

Presently we have detectives assigned to the areas of narcotics, arson and white collar crime.   Also under the umbrella of the Detective Bureau are three other detectives and one Lieutenant that follow up on crimes committed by juveniles and family offense issues. Our Detectives work closely with all other local police departments and federal and state agencies.  Members of the bureau also coordinate all department cases with the Erie County District Attorney's Office and the West Seneca Justice Court.  All pistol permit applications and employee applicants are also investigated by members of the Detective Bureau.
